ABOUT THIS SHOP

Cupboards & Cakes is ultimately a ladies clothing boutique. We focus on offering a stylish range of designer, vintage and excellent quality clothing. Items are mainly second-hand (I can't quite use the term pre-loved but sure they have been!) but have to pass strict quality control to fit the 'like-new in appearance' category. Part dress-agency and part collated from a wide range of sources ( top secret sources) an item has to fall into either one of the above categories or just be unique and lovely to make it through the door.

The Cakes element, whilst confusing, alludes to the fact we are a shop with a twist. Every Saturday you will find cake on the premises available by donation to customers. We can offer recommendations of local bakers should you require cake in your life and generally just love and appreciate cake.

The Cupboards title alludes to the hope that you will find all sorts of items for sale that one might find in a cupboard. Like stepping into a wardrobe or well-loved sideboard so there are other vintage treasures available for sale that have caught my eye. Whilst it may be just a shop in appearance; as one esteemed customer put it so neatly 'this isn't just shopping; it's an experience' and if we disappoint you then at least I'll make you loose leaf tea in a china teapot.
